Unlike the 'entry-level' microphones of other brands, even prestigious ones, which use 16mm capsules, resulting in a less faithful sound, particularly in the bass and low midrange,the ST-1 MK2is fitted with a truly large 34mm capsule, with a simple one-inch gold-plated diaphragm, just like the AKG 214 or the NEUMANN TLM 103.
The Lanen ST-1 MK2 is equipped with a low cut of 10dB per octave at 100Hz and a -10db sensitivity attenuator to perform well in all situations. It will perfectly reproduce the definition and warmth of the recorded source.
