Phil X, who has held down lead guitar duties for Bon Jovi since 2013, is now both an owner and a player of the DaVinci — Cream Guitars' groundbreaking, colour-changing instrument, hand-built in Mexico. Watching it debut live, in his hands, on one of the world's most legendary stages, was an unforgettable moment and a genuine testament to the quality and uniqueness behind every Cream Guitars build.

It's the product of a genuine collaboration between Cream Guitars and E Ink, hand-built in Mexico around the brand's ergonomic Voltage body and finished with a dynamic ePaper surface that lets players change colours and patterns instantly, with no repainting required.
At the heart of the DaVinci is E Ink Prism 3 — the same low-power, non-emissive display technology used in architectural and product design — repurposed here as a fully programmable digital skin for the guitar's body. The surface only draws power when it's actively updating, making it considerably more efficient than an LED-based system, and giving players the freedom to switch up their look song to song, or night to night.
Every Cream Guitars instrument is built by hand in Mexico, and the DaVinci is no exception. Underneath the display technology sits the brand's precision electronics and proven Voltage body shape, so the guitar doesn't trade tone or playability for spectacle. It's an instrument designed to hold its own on a Bon Jovi stage — which, as of this tour, it now has.
